You Want to Dance?
In its artistically stimulating setting, the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal will initiate you to contemporary dance. We’re located in downtown Montréal, just across the street from MusiquePlus. Live music every night!
Contemporary dance will enable you to express yourself, cultivate your creativity and explore all the possibilities of your body in movement. With a wide range of structured exercises, stretching and dance phrases, you will get good workout; develop your flexibility and muscle tone, while expressing yourself through dance. Each course is taught by dynamic professional from the school’s teaching staff and is accompanied by a musician.
Course Description
INTRODUCTION TO CONTEMPORARY DANCE 1
This course consists of a 90 minute technique class followed by 45 minutes of choreography, the result of which will be performed at the end of the semester for guests of your choice. The entire class’ work will be filmed and a DVD copy will be given to each student participant!

INTRODUCTION TO CONTEMPORARY DANCE 2
You enjoyed your experience and you want to continue to explore contemporary dance? In order to help you to progress more quickly and to deepen your contemporary dance experience the School offers a second level in the following format: two nights per week, three hours of technique and two 45-minute choreographic workshops. There will be an informal presentation of this choreographic work at the end of the session.
PREREQUISITE: Introduction to Contemporary Dance I or demonstrate sufficient training for level 2

Thursday 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Contemporary Dance for Teens 2
Monday and Wednesday 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
FALL 2010 SESSION: 12 weeks
September 12 – December 8
Registration until September 19
WINTER 2012 SESSION: 14 weeks
January 9 – April 13
Registration until January 16
Important: You must arrive at the school 15 minutes before the
beginning of each class. Please note that no classes are held on
statutory holidays. The course schedule has already been adjusted
accordingly.
Rates
Fall – 12 weeks
1 class/week: $265/semester
2 classes/week: $475/semester
Winter – 14 weeks
1 class/week: $305/semester
2 classes/week: $560/semester
À la carte lessons: $20 each (technique classes only).

Payment Terms
Registration deadline: the date of the first class
Payment methods : cash, certified cheque (payable to École de danse contemporaine de Montréal) or debit.
Administrative fees of $15 apply in the case of payments returned for insufficient funds.
Refunds : Registration fees will only be refunded in the case of illness or injury (upon presentation of a doctor’s certificate) or job relocation (upon presentation of a letter from the employer), subject to administrative fees of $25.
All refund requests must be addressed in writing to the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal.
